Adbusters- Brand identity

Ideology/ethos of Adbusters:

To go against the industry 
Anti-capitalist, left winged 
Will continue to print a hard copy



Adbusters subverts traditional magazine conventions by:

Attacking adverts 
Has no actual adverts 
Non profit 
Instead of trying to sell them things they try to establish a communication with the audience 
Only have parody adverts 
They don't have an office and except open submissions 



The magazine interacts with its audience by:

The audience are able to send in photos 
Their website 















How is the ideology evident in the set edition of Adbusters?

The ideology of the magazine is too go against the advertisement industry. They are also strongly anti capitalism which is shown in many of their adverts. There dominant ideology is shown in 
The irony is shown dramatically in the double page spread of the louibitons
